Welcome to the 46th instalment of the Asylum Hour Podcast brought to you by Deep House Congress

This package features 5 mixes, a mix from Episode and 4 guest mixes from Analogue Rox , KB Souldesire, Pekxito and Neo Mashike

The mix from Episode is a vibey deep house mix that has a lot of energy, one for those drives to the club on a weekend night.

Guest mix 3 is from Episode. I know it's strange reading that but I normally do the soulful mix only at this time of the year. This was my way of saying thank you for all of the birthday wishes. Session is a lekker deep house session which should be good for those drives at night to and from events.

The playlists will be made available on request, but should be on the page within a couple of weeks.

So thank you all for supporting during the year, it was a tough one but we pulled though the best way we know how, through the beats. See you all in 2018, have a safe transition into the new year.

The Second guest mix is by Phakamani. For those who don't know, Phaka has his own mixes titled The Vodka Sessions where he only records on wax. He played some amazing music here and personally I'm very happy that he managed to bless the podcast. We've been waiting for over a two years.

"I'm a humble dude from vaal. Who loves collecting music especially underground stuff. I play what I like how I like. I feel in love with house back in the mid 90's when my older brother introduced me to it via he's black box tapes that he use to play in the house. And as they say the rest is history"

Thanks Phaks

Mmely laced some great disco tunes and he mixed an 82 minute podcast, making it the longest guest mix we've had so far. He's been here before and again he blew me away with his music. Love him.

Mmeli, also known as Mmely Antidote to music patrons, is one of the founding members of soulful house group, The Antidotes. He has been a long-time admirer and collector of not only house but various genres of music. His love for music ranges from soul to jazz and soulful house to deep house. Born and raised in Swaziland, ‘Mmely’ started deejaying in 2010 and although he’s still relatively new to the industry, he’s played at many well-reputable clubs alongside heavyweights in the industry. Now residing in Jo’burg, he plays at venues around Braamfontein,Melville, Maboneng Precinct and occasionally plays in Pretoria (Sunnyside, Hatfield).

take it with you

Iphone_trans Listening to podcasts on your mobile devices is extremely convenient -- and it's what makes the podcasting medium so powerful.

You can take your favorite shows and mixes with you anywhere, but to do so requires some quick and simple steps.

Let's walk you through that process together.
step 1:

Click the "Subscribe With iTunes" link in the page's sidebar:

This will require that you have the iTunes software on your computer.

(You can download iTunes here.)
step 2:

Now that you've subscribed to the podcast on iTunes, the feed will display in your "Podcasts" section on the left navigation bar.

Click there and you'll see the show displayed in the iTunes browser.

You can "get all" to download all available episodes or just individual episodes.
step 3:

Plug your mobile device (iPhone, iPad, iPod) into your computer with the Dock Connector cable, and click the device in iTunes's left navigation bar.

Once you have your device highlighted, click "Podcasts" in the top navigation bar and sync the podcasts you want on your device. Click "apply" and the episodes you have downloaded on your iTunes software will sync with your device.
that's it!

The beauty of this process is that now, every new episode of your subscribed podcasts will automatically sync to your device every time you plug it in and open iTunes. You can now take your favorite shows with you everywhere you go.
