Sup Good Congressmen

2014 is coming to an end , I hope that we all had a good year, filled with beautiful memories and teachings to be carried through the rest of our lives.

Since we at the end of the year, we have to bring it to an end in the traditional Asylum way with the 2014 Curtain Close edition of the five year old series.

I'd like to thank the soldiers who graced the DHC front lines this year, namely Eon Kganyago , Duke Dwane, Mmely , Guztav Fortuin and this editions guest mixers Main K Lefifi and DBlog. YOUR EFFORTS ARE APPRECIATED

This editions main mix features tracks by Shur I Kan, Pablo Bolivar, Alex Agore, Joseph Teruelle, Bas Amro & one of my brother's favourite artists, James Johnston. We also got the big man Nelson Mandela on deck too. Much respect to him.

Dblog, ,a big brother of sorts in thr industry to a lot of us Pretorian cats, delivers a phat session straight outta his Techron homeland. Straight Tech with no holds barred yeah smiley

Main K delivers a chilled guestmix. It is perfect for a long drive ,as I found a couple weekends ago as I travelled from Pretoria to Johannesburg with my homie Ipeleng. Perfect for that braai session. Do check it out

On a sombre note, we'd like to announce that The Asylum Xpress will not be held this year due to technical reasons. I extend my apologies to all those who looked forward to another deep serving , we will make up for it in a big way come 2015. Humble apologies sad
Please don't forget to wish me a happy birthday on Friday, I only turn 19 once so please do make it memorable for a brother big smile

As per policy (lol), email me at ASYLUMKBL@GMAIL.COM for the playlist. It will be uploaded on the podomatic page after a couple of weeks.

This month's guest mix is held down by my brother Mmely , who hails from the Antidotes musical stable.

Mmeli, also known as Mmely Antidote to music patrons, is one of the founding members of soulful house group, The Antidotes. Now residing in Jo’burg, he plays at venues around Braamfontein,Melville, Maboneng Precinct and occasionally plays in Pretoria (Sunnyside, Hatfield).

Greetings to you out there!
My love for house music started at the age of 9 if I'm not mistaken, inspired by alot of deejays back then.

As i grew, i learned that we have sub-genres in house music I decided to take the Deep / Tech route. Shows like DSOH, Asylum Hour, DeepVibes, Ashmed Hour
helped me to sustain the love I have for this type of music. Not forgetting guys who play some of the good stuff out there, I am listening you better believe that.

As you can see now I'm on the Guest mix for the show. I must say I feel sooo GREAT about it. A shoutOut to a good friend of mine Rebecca for hooking me up with a voice over. "Hello, Hi waddup yo! Bonjour a tour
le monde qui est a l'ecoute! I am Rebecca and you're listening to the sounds of Eon on the Asylum Hour Podcast, where we go deep!"

Those who really know me, know that I value my Friends. Expect tracks from rec labels Eklo, Freerange Rec, Keys In Space Rec,
Savior Faire Musique, Something Different Rec, G-Stone Rec & a BIG shoutout to the Producers.

Forever in Deep/Tech House music... We LOVE. Peace
